14" wheels are standard on the roadster, you might try going with a taller
sidewall tire.
I think a 175/70-14 equivalent was standard. You might try 195/65-14.
I'm running 185/60-14 and my speedo was 10% off.
Changing the rear end from the 3.9 to the 3.7 of the 2000 made it 5% off.

  I have just purchased a 1970 1600 w/14" Panasports.
Locigally, since I believe 15' rims are standard, the tach and spedo are
off, fortunately on the right side of the law.

  1) Is there ary way of adjusting the dials to make them accurate
  2) Probably better, for the sake of the engine, is there a better rear-end
diff gearing that will reduce the strain on the engine
  3) Is there anyone out there who would like to swap 15 for 14 - I have 14x8
Yokos on the car right now.
