Actually, you could have a limited slip and still have the wheels turn
opposite directions while performing the "jack it up and spin one
wheel" trick. I have tried this on the limited slip in my car and they
will on occasion go opposite directions so the best way to check with
the rear end jacked up is to put the car in neutral and turn the drive
shaft by hand. If both wheels are spinning the same direction, then you
have a limited slip.
