I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with.
This happens within 1/2 mile of leaving my garge. We are dealing with a
2000, the carbs have new needles & nozzles & hoses, new gas filter, with a
points sytem & Pertronix, old & new wires.
I start the car and it is running great I pull out and 1st & 2nd gears top
out at 4,000 rpm. No matter how hard I try I can not get any more power out
of them. In 3rd gear it tops out a liitle higher but then I loose all power.
It starts running like it is on 1 cylender. Have checked the float bowls and
there is gas in them. My filters are see thru and I have gas before and
after the pump.
Anyone have any ideas?
