Hi Tim,
Permatex Aviation Form-A-Gasket #3.
DO NOT use silicon or RTV.
The bonus with the Permatex is that is is relatively harmless if it does
enter the oil/coolant passages.
NOT like a worm of silicon!!!
I had a Radiator "expert" RTV my therm. housing on my 510 once.
Only once!
There was that much goop in there,the thermo. Didn't have a hope of moving!
