There are 2 twisting type knobs on either side of the steering wheel.   One
is to reset the odometer and the other is the dimmer. 

 

After 30+ years some of mine have burned out and others seem to have carbon
build up inside. 

 

You need nimble hands to get up inside to push and twist the bulbs to get
them out.
