just to clarify.
the lower resistance coil, without the additional resistor in the circuit,
does a lousy job of running an engine. and will definitely smoke a
pertronix (according to pertronix).
the car in question has standard points and condensor.
A Lucas Sport is a higher resistance coil, typically used in British cars.
of which there are several in the same garage.
