I installed a GM alternator on my 1600 (with help) last year and had no
problems until last week. I had a 30 amp inline fuse blow which caused my
battery to drain before I found the burnt fuse. I replaced the fuse and
charged the battery. I then checked the voltage output at the alternator and
at idle I'm showing 12.1 volts. With the lights on I'm showing 11.8 volts.
This sure doesn't seem right to me. I've always thought that the alternator
would provide at least 12.0 volts even with all electrical devises in the ON
position. Thoughts please.

Thanks
