Don't use ordinary hardware bolts for this application. 
Find the correct length shoulder bolts, same as used on the Z-cars, they work 
much better.

Rob thanks for the quick response, it was less than 3 minutes, and you wrong, 
the U Joint isn't bad, it was falling off. I put the car up, and crawled under 
to note one bolt was missing, so since it looks tough to get in from below, I 
attacked from above. With a finger along the edges, I found two bolts missing. 
So hardware store up the street is closed, I will get at this tommorrow. I 
assume starting the bolts from above, and tightening from underneath is the 
correct way to get at them? I have the new Datsun book, but it didn't have any 
details on tightening up those bolts.
