Joe,
To get the coolant to return whilst the motor cools you need
the correct kind of cap and no small air leaks or soft hoses
in the system. TR3/early4 factory radiators need a certain
cap for the deep filler neck. The water pump seems OK
with a 7-8 pound cap ( fitting a second spring to a 4 LB cap
works)
As far as the temp. ;ducting the air flow is the most important thing.
On a 3A/B removing the stock piece behind the grill uncovers a large
part of the radiator
