To Andy Mace:

Since I am surrounded on three sides by Minnesota Triumphs, VTOW, and two
Illinois Triumph clubs, and since there seems not to be any active Triumph
organization in Iowa, I hereby declare myself, in self defense, as the

Vintage Triumph of Iowa

In the manner and operation of the "Friends of Triumph", there will be no
dues, no meetings, no board of directors, no back biting.....no need for
these things. I already get three newsletters from these surrounding four
clubs so I don't plan to publish one of those. (BTW, I really appreciate all
of these very outstanding newsletters....hopefully I can make some
contributions to them in the future)

There will be no proposals to hold the VTR National Convention in Iowa
although I really do think that the thriving metropolis of "Toeterville"
would be ideal. Such corn you have never seen!!!! If you have never heard
of it before, it is a suburb of Osage. That should clear that up.

(The Amana Colonies would be nice and Bill Dentinger would feel at home with
the "Slow Moving Vehicle" signs that abound there)

There would be two of us, but Jack Drews has elected to ex-patriate himself
to Illinois.....

One more thing, I dont live in Ohio or Idaho...it's IOWA. (They grow highway
patrolman in Ohio and potatoes in Idaho)
