I feel that John Lye's observations are well stated. The list was
started as an alternative to the three other lists that deal with
general vintage racing and general Tiumph matters. Its original purpose
was to discuss Triumph racing matters. All things considered, that is
still the best use of the FOT list.
That said, its purpose contains no implications regarding 'membership'
in the list -- but it does speak to the nature of (most of) the
messages.
