Joe,

TR-6 hubs may be different from the TR-3/4 hubs.  For many years, I have been 
using 3" long 7/16" Moroso studs with spacer plates without any related 
calamities.  I would enlarge the hub holes slightly.  

Most people go to 1/2" studs, which I installed in my front aluminum hubs to 
hopefully be used next.  These lug nut studs are available at Summit Racing 
and most speed shops (Super Shops).
