McCulloch Radiators in Az will custom fabricate alloy rads.  $350 all said 
and done (including

Yes, they are fragile and the fins bend *very* easily, so you will need to 
be very careful when
working on the backside of the radiator, and use a fine mesh up front to 
catch anything larger than
a fly.  However, I was able to compare it back-to-back with a newly re-cored 
stock radiator
in my TR6, and did note that the thermostat was open for a much shorter time 
with the alloy rad
than the steel.
