It would be rough on the street. You'll have understeer anytime you don't
stand on it in the corners. I think you'd be happier with either a Detroit
locker or a salisbury.

Subject: Locked rear axle

Hello FOT,

I am thinking about a locked rear axle. I want to weld the spider gears
together. How about driving with this? Does the standard axles shafts can
take that load. Can I drive the car to the track with this locked axle or
does breake something in my axle? You may have locked axles and have
experience with it.

Regards
Chris
