My advice is to replace the rubber seal that mates with the windshield for
sure. The side seals and the top side channels that hold these rubbers at
the top of the glass when it is rolled up, are also a good idea to replace.
All this stuff, at least in Texas gets brittle and makes little or no seal
after 25 or 30 years. What is the life span of these materials? For that
matter what is the life span of a TR6 ? Your trim guy will find it much
easier slipping a new seal in the top channel, translating to less time for
him, which translates to a lower cost, or should. Most of these FOT racing
guys don't need no stinking trim, unless they have other TR's they drive on
the streets. This stuff just adds weight. Good Luck.

I am replacing a ratty top on a 74.5 TR6. Want to know which, if any, of
the seals, velcro etc. shown in the Moss catalog I need to buy [total comes
to 140 or so for everything]. Is the front seal that mates with the
windshield reusable, or does it get destroyed when removed? Am having a
professional shop do the install, so want to take all the needed parts to
them. Thanks,
