My engine guy says use 20psi.

Cooler

I've always used about 25 lb, figuring I need that much to maintain
oil pressure
in the galleys. However, I just looked at Accusump's
instructions, and they say
only 7-10 psi is needed. I guess my 'sump will
now have more oil in it!

Hi Bobby,

That "relief stem" is not actually a relief valve.
That valve is
there to pressurize the system.
That is what pushes the oil back into the
engine; it allows you to put some air pressure
behind the piston, to push on
the piston which
provides the force to put oil into the engine
when needed.
How much air pressure you
put in there (partly) determines how fast the
oil
flows back into the engine. As I recall,
the directions that came with the
Accusump
gave a range of suggested pressures.

Hope that helps,
John

Another question, there is a relief valve (like a tire stem) I

There was a bit of air and pressure still in the unit when I drained
