Very weird that changing all those parts has no effect. You changed the clutch
hose : also the metal part of the line?
It seems that the bearing doesn't follow the clutch pedal over some distance
and is catching up then at a sudden.
How is the clutch pedal feel?

OK, so I've had a weird problem with the clutch on The Duke of Oil (TR4A). It
suddenly started acting like an off/on switch with no chance of slippage to get
goin. The engagement was so sudden that it broke a side gear in the locker.
Upon review everything appeared well within spec. I changed the clutch disc.
transmission input shaft and changed the throwout bearing sleeve. No
dice...same issue.
Got it apart again and have changed everything...disc, pressure plate, bearing,
crankshaft bush, cross shaft bushings, clutch hose, clutch slave cylinder and
clutch master cylinder...pedal assembly seems smooth without any binding. Have
also double pinned the throwout fork to the cross shaft.

SO...any thoughts?

Also have pinned the throwout bearing flange so that it will not spin on the
sleeve. Anybody else pin the flange, or do you let it turn on the sleeve?
Why/why not?

Broken gears and tears in NorCal
Nick
