 The set that JK used was the late layshaft cluster and then the dolomite s=
print 3rd / 4th set. When mixed with the overdrive, you get the most useful=
 gear combos.
O/D 3rd is more for not doing a 3rd to 4th shift on both A and J-types, as =
is 2nd O/D for the A type. In both cases, while you get the extra gears, yo=
u don't really get any advantage rowing through them as opposed to grabbing=
 a gear in a quick burst.
FWIW, 2nd o/d is awesome for an autocrosser.=C2=A0 ;-)
