I was also going to mention Puhn's book. On the Huffaker racing 3000 of the
early 60's, the Panhard frame mounting point was repositioned substantially
and a rear sway bar added. The Panhard repositioning probably wasn't
practical for street exhaust, ground clearance, and fuel pump
considerations. I am sure the Geoff Healey was free to put that little rod
anywhere he saw fit. He was certainly no dummy on suspension design and also
did thousands of miles of road tests.
