Well guys and gals... ( checking is optional ) Bonneville is coming up here
in a Month or less.... ( why is it I always want it to be MORE )
My wife and I are taking the Berkeley with a converted Rodeck small block....
it's been rebuilt with a new crank rods and pistons.. now instead of 299"
it's a 358... or what's known as a C motor... again we are going to run it on
Gasoline... no nitrous no blowers.... the record is 223 in this class.....
since I set the record last year at 246.5mph and we have another 100+hp....
and she's driving this year... well maybe we can set another record... (
shooting for 260's)
The Camaro on the other hand... well it's completely rebuilt, The motor is
currently residing in Los Angles... at one of Hot Rod Magazines engine
shops.... the Senior Editor of Hot Rod is a good freind and he's borrowing the
car for a couple of years.... the plan is for him to ship the motor Monday
and after he dyno's it tomorrow.... fly out next friday and help me stick it
in the car... Then we are going to race the car in Goliad Texas on the 31of
this month and he taking it to Speedweek... ( it might finally set a record
on the Salt...)
Life is VERY busy trying to prep two cars for Bonneville one of which is kinda
high profile.... ( okay the pressure has gotten to me a bit..) just busy....
I can't think of a thing in my life I'd rather be doing...
LIFE IS GOOD...
