Dennis,
I installed a Pertronix ignitor and Lucus 40,000 volt sport coil in my late 
1957 BN4 (46049) which also has a BJ8 DM6 distributor.  I'm using a .030" 
plug gap and runs well.  Some on the List have said I could go as high as 
.035" gap.
