If that lister would like to reply, I would try and walk you through the 
process - just did a rechromed BJ8 screen yesterday.  The BJ7 - BJ8 
windshield is easier to do than the roadster because of the shaped gasket 
around the glass / frame, as opposed to the glazing rubber process on the 
earlier screens.

I don't know about a BJ7 windshield, but when I had the disassembled frame
of my BN7 chromed, the plater put so much material in the slot where the
seal to the front shroud goes that it was impossible to slide the seal in.
Had to cut one of the tee tips off and wedge it in w/ a putty knife.  I
don't know if there is a way to keep the chroming material out of the slot.
