Ron,

A 12v system will generate up to 15v with the generator fully on line.
At 15v a 35w bulb will draw 2.33 amps. A 50w bulb will draw 3.33 amps.

Depending on how you are going to fuse the lights just add up the
Currents (amps) being drawn and add about 20% to handle inrush currents
Then use a fuse that will handle that amount of current.

e.g. 2 35w bulbs on a single circuit would be 2.33+2.33=4.66 amps
       4.36 * 1.2 = 5.6 Amperes so a 6 amp fuse would be indicated.

2.502 bulbs on a single circuit would be 3.33_3.33=6.66 amps
       6.66 * 1.2 = 7.99 Amperes so an 8 amp fuse would be indicated.

You could just use a 10 amp fuse for either of the above as the fuse
Is there to protect the WIRES not the Bulbs and a short in the circuit
Is most likely going to draw more than 10 amperes and blow the fuse.

Hope this helps

Joe

What size fuse should I use for the 35w or 50w bulbs?
Thanks for the help.
