Guys, I`m sure that every one on the list can spot an ebay scam a mile off !
but anyhow, just thought I`d mention a new one I saw this morning that I
have not seen previously.
What they appear to have done is to somehow hijack the listing of a seller
with good
feedback (in this case the guy had a feed back of 1600 !) and listed the
fake item on his
ebay site. The giveaway (apart from the stupidly low price!) is to
look at the top right hand corner of the listing where the blurb about
the ` buyers other items` etc
is. look carefully and you will see that there is no facility to contact
seller. they have put an email address in the main body and state you should
email them direct. additionally, because the site has been effectively
hijacked, the photos dont work properly so they are all small and wont
enlarge when clicked. I had great fun (in true `list tradition` leading
these people on for a while before it all went quiet !
the geniuine lister has end the item but dont know whether ebay are aware of
it.the item number is 4610136725.
