This is not an issue that you need to ask. Simply replace the pump
and install a new oil pump. If you don't replace it you WILL have low
pressure problems. I have stressed this many times when you are
rebuilding an engine DO NOT take any short cuts or you will pay for
it later.
Always install new parts. Clutch, Oil pump, Water pump, Oil flex line
on the 4 cyl motor, Rear seal, Timing chain and gears, as well as all
the other misc parts that are required in a engine rebuild.
It would be like remodeling your living room with new furniture and
carpeting and not painting the walls.
