This will depend on what coil you have.
If you were able to find a positive ground coil then you would
connect it + to the distributor and - to the ign switch.
However I doubt that is the case. If you have a new coil then it is
designed to be connected NEGATIVE ground. If you connect it
backwards that is Positive ground you will be loosing about 25% of
the coils capacity.
So if you are wanting to stay OE and stay with positive ground you
only have one choice and that is to connect it with the whit wire to
the negative and the white and black wire to the positive side.
If you want the most available voltage out of your coil then you will
need to convert the car to negative ground. Since all new coils today
are negative ground coils.
