Bob,
I purchased one a few years back and too tell you the truth it is only
worth $10. I ended up giving it away at my last garage sale. It just
wasn't that good. I used it to drill a hole for my gear dog on a Mallory
distributor and was lucky I didn't ruin the shaft it was so wobbly. If
you need to do any precision work don't get it. Spend the money and get
a more reliable unit.

I very occasionally need a drill press. Harbor Freight has a table top
for
$39.99, marked down from $89.99. Since I know nothing except that the
price is
way cheap, I wonder if anyone has an informed opinion as to how well it
would
meet needs of occasion user. Go to
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=44506
to
look.

Thanks,
