Only thing on buying a generic coil, don't forget your british car does not
have an externally ballasted coil, a lot of the old American cars that would
use an otherwise similar generic coil would have an external ballast.
Hemmings I think did an article on couls recently, they are more generic
than I thought, internal ballasted (like on our LBCs), external ballasted, 6
volt, 12 volt are the major variations I think. If I recall correctly Ford
used the internally a ballasted coils like our LBCs in the same ers.
