I am installing a Pertronix Ignitor on my 1963 BJ7 with a 25D distributor. When
I install the magnet shield on the distributor shaft it prevents the
distributor cap from completely seating on the distributor.When I remove the
rotor the cap fits fine so I am assuming that the magnet sleeve is preventing
the rotor from fitting all the way down on the shaft.The shield is installed as
far on as possible. The clips that hold the cap on can be secured. Is this
going to cause a problem?? Thanks to all
