It is not that espensive to ship stuff USPS from the US to OZ, I do it
all the time (from the US to HK).

Ask the guy to give you another quote to ship using the United States
Postal Service rather than UPS, it will be significantly cheaper.

FYI many eBayers use shipping to screw you, esp. if you've paid a low
or good price on something.
