Guys
If you use the method I described you don't need to worry about sealing
the screw. Because the tube has liquid in it while you pump the pedal
and the level rises up the tube in the process, this keep a positive
head of pressure in the tube and keeps the air out, so as the pedal
comes up off the floor the liquid level in the tube will drop a little,
but no air will be drawn back into the system.
