It Sounds like your front brake hoses to me.  I had this problem on my BJ8 with 
both the front brake hoses and the clutch hose.  When they get old and start to 
deteriorate from the inside, when you apply the brakes and then release the 
pedal, they collapse on thrmselves and trap brake fluid and pressure out at the 
wheel.  Same thing happens with the clutch.  Pedal gets hard amd immoveable. 
Only happens when it gets hot.
