A generic diagram won't help much for the OD wiring between the BN1 and BN2=
(and later?) since the wiring colors are totally different with the BN1 sy=
stem even incorporating some double tracer colors. The best info is in the =
100 service manual part number 97H997D which contains the wiring diagrams f=
or both the BN1 and the BN2.

since this is a Lucas chart it should suffice since many parts are intercha=
ngeable.

If all else fails check out John Simms web site for the electrical diagrams=
in full colour for the various models ( certainly has them for the later c=
ars at least )
every standard wire is clearly labelled as to trace colour where it goes et=
c. and an A3 copy or larger if you can access one will confirm what each wi=
re is connected
to and make life easy for you. Proved invaluable when I replaced the wiring=
harness during restoration of my BJ8

Thanks guys. The Bugeye was easy since I had owned six of them prior to th=
at restoration. This is the first big Healey I have attempted. Getting it=
as a bare shell has not helped in the re-installation of anything on this =
car. With nothing to go by near me since Tom Rocke passed away I have no e=
xamples to look at. I guess I just have to start labeling the individual w=
ires as best I can. and start from there.

I have a wiring harness that was given to me by a restorer friend just=
before he passed away. He told me it was a BN2 harness. It is cloth with=
PVC wires. The pictures I have of most restorations that clearly show the=
main harness against the firewall are cloth and braid covered wires. I ca=
n see the color codes of the braided wires that align with some of the PVC =
wires of my harness, but I seem to have a few extra wires coming out of the=
harness where there should not be any. How can I tell the difference betw=
een a BN1 and a BN2 main harness that is cloth and PVC. There is also four=
smaller harnesses of which I am sure one or more will connect to the main =
harness somewhere. A little bit more to deal with here than my Bugeye that=
I installed in 2000.

by a restorer friend just before he passed away. He told me it was a =
BN2 harness. It is cloth with PVC wires. The pictures I have
of most restorations that clearly show the main harness against the firewa=
ll are cloth and braid covered wires. I can see the color codes of th=
e braided wires that align with some of the PVC wires of my harness, but I =
seem to have a few extra wires coming
out of the harness where there should not be any. How can I tell the=
difference between a BN1 and a BN2 main harness that is cloth and PVC.&nbs=
p; There is also four smaller harnesses of which I am sure one or more will=
connect to the main harness somewhere. A
little bit more to deal with here than my Bugeye that I installed in 2000.=
