[Healeys] oil use

Short of pulling my head, is there anyway to test where the oil is coming
from? My rear air filter has a lot of oil blow by. I should clean it every
1000 miles or so. So is it coming from Valve stem seals, valve guides or
rocker arm??? When I adjusted my valves I did not see a lot of oil pumping
from the rocker arms. I plan to drive my car on a  3000 trip in Sept from
Portland,OR to Deadwood, SD fro Conclave and thought I should address this
before going.
