Is your fuel pump in the engine bay, or at the back, under the guard, near the
tank?
Pressurized fuel (where the pump is back near the tank) can tolerate engine bay
heat far better than non pressurized fuel.
As long as the pump isnâ??t heated, (next to e.g. the exhaust) itâ??s good.
And as long as the fuel is pressurized in the fuel line, itâ??s fine as well.
The problem is when you put the fuel pump in the engine bay, and that means the
fuel in the line before the pump isnâ??t pressurized, and the pump is trying to
cope with engine bay temps..
and guess what!!!!
Bazinga!!
