MMMers,

What are the restrictions on increasing the compression ratio on MMM engines.
In the Special Tuning section of Blowers, P. 443-45, it leads you to believe
that
7.25 to 1 would be the maximum. On the P-Type 3-35/64" head depth. It
describes that the rocker/valves need to be adjusted to .008" and .010".

>From what I gather the major problem was the Babbitt bearings on the big
ends.
Now utilizing Carrillo rods and shell bearings and the higher octane fuel of
today what restrictions still apply to raising compression higher to say 8.75
to 1?

All comments and advise appreciated.

Brian Kelly.
