Looking for information on distributor setups for the Rover 3.5L

I've got an 80 Federal SD1 which has the original Lucas distributor with
twin vacuum unit. The distributor is fitted with a Luminition module.

I'm installing a Offenhauser dual port manifold with Holley 390 carb. and a
set of headers.

Does anyone have a suggestion for distributor hookup, timing etc. that works
reasonably well for street use. Originally the distributor only had
manifold vacuum hooked to one side of the vacuum unit, the other side had
been disconnected.

Hook up both vacuum units? If so, where? manifold port or off the
butterfly?
Disconnect one or both vacuum units?

I'm on an ultimate low budget, so replacing the distributor at this time is
not an option. I'm looking for the best hookup for the original unit only.
Later, I'll look into performance modifications.

many thanks
