Sounds like a good plan.  I don't know what model Dan at D&D sells, but he's
had good luck with it from what I hear.

Actually since I had to turn down my Ford transmission snout to make the
Quartermaster HTO fit I can now use any HTO made for a Chevy. Thus when
the Quartermaster fails I throw it out and get a good unit. I have no
further plans to deal with the bullshitters at quartermaster.

The people at Howe were very straight forward when I did my research on
the HTOs and told me theirs had the smaller ID. I have used a lot of
Howe parts before so a switch to them is probably inevitable.
