Hot Foot

Does anyone have any creative ways to insulate the drivers right foot from
the exhaust heat radiating up through the floor board.  Surprised this has
not been mentioned recently?  Gets pretty uncomfortable on a 90 degree
day.  I suppose the UK drivers do not understand my problem but it might
explain the hard time keeping happy MGB partners.
