It burps eventually... we had intermittant oil pressure readings for a
short while after the engine rebuild, but it eventually stabilized. We
did remove the tube at one of the junctions (oil pressure switch area? I
forget) and let oil squirt out. That let us know the system was bled up
to that point.
I think it took about a day to really settle down. The key was the
number of cycles between full oil pressure and none. And the oil need to
be warm.
