I bought a generic Monza muffler from JC Whitney - I think its 12" x5", then
went to
a muffler shop and asked them to make me a pipe which runs from the stock
exhaust manifold, over the back axle and mate it up to the Monza exhaust.
Didn't have any problems getting everything to fit. Never had a problem and
the
Monza muffler is still in good condition.
I have a VERY deep sounding exhaust, which sets off car alarms in
underground
parking garages. But the noise is not too obnoxious, although it does make
conversation above 55mph somewhat difficult.
I thought that the Monza muffler was pretty well built, heavy gauge steel,
good
quality welds and mounting brackets.
