Ed:

All MG's are excellent for shadetree mechanics because they are basic to work
on.  If they need a tranny, at least you can find all the bolts and there is
room to get at everything.  I wouldn't even attempt a valve job on a modern
car, but have rebuilt most everything on my LCB.  And when all else fails,
check the list for answers :-}
