Actually, good braking is of utmost import- it allows you to go faster longer, 
before you slam on the binders. And on the track you use your brakes harder 
several times a lap than most street drivers *ever* do. You really thrash the 
things-= they get hot, and your fluid boils and you put all sorts of extra 
stress on things. 

Just the same, while braided lines do perform better, they are not rated for 
anywhere near the length and type of service found on the street. A racer 
checks his brakes every few minutes or hours of driving, and a street car is 
lucky to get checked every few hundred hours or more...

Rubber lines are usually good for 10 years or more in a road car, and they are 
a lot cheaper.

Hmm, lets see, the current parts car rounds out the Alphabet more than usual:
MG's PA, TD (special) ZB, B, BGT, C GT (and Midget)
