I recall a short time ago about someone selling a conversion kit for
installing gas struts on MGBs bonnets. Seems to me the complete kit was
selling for around $60.00, plus shipping. Does anyone still have either
an email or voice number for the contact? Any help would be greatly
appreciated!

I have gas struts on my 911 & Honda. They are nice - but need to be
replaced every few years. Some of my Porsche catelogs brag about selling 5
year struts....

I replaced my "flip the tab" mechanical trunk brace on my MGB with the
mechanical braces where you lift slightly to to unlatch. I am sure it will
last for a VERY long time and is perfect when your hands are full. And i
only paid $15 during a sale.
