Well, actually Tintin is a California car since shortly after birth.  When
the mercury gets towards and above three digits, he runs much better.  Of
course there is no warm-up period, and the timing can't be too far
advanced on the hill climbs, but I think the pre-heated intake must
help the carburation.

 Ugly news.  I got my 'Smog certificate required' renewal notice.
I thought I had printed off the 'hints to pass smog' from a couple of
days ago, but I can't find it.  Could you repost it?
I plan to retard 10 degrees, lean it out until the colortune is almost
blue, take out the air filters, clean and set the plugs and points.
I wasn't sure about regapping the plugs wider.  What is this intended
to accomplish?
