 Yes you can, you rotate then out. Remove the main cap, rotate the 
engine (look at the bearing to see which way to rotate would be best),
and the bearing half might come out. If not, you can put a cotter pin
in the crank oil hole, with the head just peeking out, and rotate the
crank, the pin will push the bearing out.
This is a general engine method, I don't know MGA's.
