Subject: British car week?

I had the good fortune of being able to drive about 600 miles yesterday from
North Carolina to Latrobe, PA, and I got to see some BEAUTIFUL British
cars-but not too many of them. There was a nice MG saloon of some type in
North Carolina that I passed, I'm not familiar with pre-war MG's, so I won't
even guess what it was. Next, I passed a gorgeous TR-6 in Virginia. Red,
wood dash, top up? Unbelievable. If I owned the car on a 90 degree day, the
top would be off. Saw a really nice orange MGB near Winchester, VA with
black bumpers and the top down. It seemed to be a very nice car, either well
taken care of or restored. Then I saw what I love to see. Some one in a
decrepit red MGB cruising through Winchester with the top down. The car
needed some TLC, paint and bondo, but it was running, which is more than I
can say for mine...Time to go work on that faulty ignition system...
