My 74 B used the same key for the ignition and the glove box, and then a 
smaller key for the doors and boot.

My 66 BGT uses the same key for ignition, glove box, doors and tailgate.

The ignition switch on the 66GT is dying - I have to fiddle with it to 
get it to turn off.  The switch appears identical to the switch on my 
72 Land Rover, except the Land Rover has an accessory position.  I may buy 
a Land Rover switch to replace it.  But then, I would need two keys for 
my car.
