The problem is the siamese port design.  Most fuel injection systems
inject while the inlet valve is closed.  As the valve opens the air-flow
helps to mix the fuel.  Without installing the injectors in the head I
think it would be hard for a port system to work well with the current
head design.  Throttle body injection will suffer the same short comings
of the current system, two pulse on the front port followed by two on
the rear.  This results in cylinder 2 and 3 running leaner and 1 and 4
running richer (due to the higher inertia of the fuel compared to the
air).  Don't know a good solution
