Regarding dim dash lamps: Perhaps my '74 isn't old enough to be
considered "early", but I really have no problems with the gauge lamps
on my 'B. I kind of like the funky, effusive, laid-back glow they give
on a dark stretch of road, and the way they seem to fade out to nothing
under streetlamps. Either way, I can see the gauges just fine.
